A value below which goods can be shipped into a country before duties & taxes are assessed.

What are the benefits of a de minimis threshold? 

The higher the threshold, the better. Here’s why:

  • Reduces costs to importers & shippers
  • Reduces paperwork for low-value shipments
  • Delivery is typically quicker
  • Helps stimulate cross-border eCommerce (especially for small-scale e-tailers)
