Canada Post 72-Hour Strike Notice

Canada Posts Negotiations 2018

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has issued a 72-hour strike notice to Canada Post.  The CUPW plans to begin rotating strikes as early as Monday, October 22, 2018, if continued negotiations over the next few days are unsuccessful.

The CUPW has stated that rotating strike locations and intensity will depend on the outcome of negotiations this week.  Canada Post will continue to process and deliver mail and parcels in other areas and each location will return to normal operations upon rotation.

Canada Post has stated they are committed to arriving at a negotiated settlement and will make every effort to minimize the disruption to customers.
