Greece - 7-April

High inbound volumes and ongoing staffing challenges make that Hellenic Post Greece are unable to process mail in a timely manner. They are currently processing mail which arrived in March and are giving priority to post originated from PostNL. Average delay 7-14 days.

Mauritius - 6-April

The Government of Mauritius has extended the current lockdown until April 30, 2021. Postal services will be extremely limited until April 10 with all postal activities resuming April 12. The delivery of all mail types will be affected.

Peru - 6-April

Peruvian Post is re-establishing service levels and restoring normal operations for all mail types nationally. Air transport is steadily recovering, allowing for the lifting of the Force Majeure. However, flights are still limited, so delays may still be experienced.

Lithuania - 1-April

Lithuania has extended the full-country lockdown until April 30, 2021 to limit the spread of coronavirus. Shippers should expect delays, no signatures will be collected upon delivery.

Estonia - 11-March

Estonian government announced a new lockdown to limit the spread of coronavirus, no signatures will be collected upon delivery.

New Caledonia - 9-March

New Caledonia announced a new lockdown to limit the spread of coronavirus, no signatures will be collected upon delivery.

France - 7-April

The French Government has announced a new lockdown for the entire country from April 3 to May 2, 2021. Restrictions have been placed on business and travel. La Poste has to comply with all necessary measures, which is likely to impact mail operations so delivery standards can not be guaranteed.

Belgium - 30-March

Due to the impact of the third wave of COVID-19, the government has announced a new lockdown from March 26th until at least April 25th. Bpost will continue with all services and the delivery of all mail types, however, no signatures will be collected upon delivery.

Czech Republic - 30-March

The Czech Republic has been hit with the third wave of COVID-19. Czech Republic authorities have extended the general lockdown until at least April 12th. Quality of service cannot be guaranteed for all mail types, and Force Majeure remains in place until further notice.

Jamaica - 24-March

The Government of Jamaica has extended the national curfew until April 13, 2021. Force Majeure continues to apply with an impact on quality of service and delivery delays for all mail types until further notice.

Australia - 22-March

Australia Post has advised that extensive flooding in New South Wales and Southern Queensland has caused delays with closed Post Offices as well as limited deliveries to the following postcodes: 2424, 2426, 2427, 4229, 2430, 2440, 2441, 2756 & 2750, 2751 and 2578 (NSW). 4114, & 4207 (QLD).

Slovenia - 16-March

The Slovenian lockdown has been extended for 30 days starting March 18, 2021 affecting processing and deliveries of all mail types.

Italy - 15-March

The Italian Customs warehouse is experiencing a backlog causing storing and customs clearing difficulties due to COVID restrictions.

Canada - 27-Jan

Canada Post announced that due to an increase of confirmed COVID-19 cases resulting in staff shortages, one shift has been temporarily closed at their Gateway East processing plant. As a result, disruption to normal operations and reduced processing capacity and clearance within customs operations for both inbound and outbound mail items are to be expected.

South Korea - 5-Jan

South Korea’s post advises that several cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed among the workforce of the Seoul office of exchange. As staff shortages are expected during the coming weeks, there will be delays in processing and delivery of all mail items.

All Services Temporarily Suspended Due to Covid-19 Outbreak - 23-Mar

Brunei, Cuba, Eritrea, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Guadeloupe, Laos, Martinique, Mauritius, Mongolia, Myanmar, Reunion (Bourbon), Saint Pierre and Miquelon (Miquelon), Samoa, South Sudan, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Yemen

Bermuda - 31-March

Staff at Bermuda’s Office of Exchange have been asked to self-quarantine until advised by their local health authority to return to work. Bermuda Post is not able to collect, transport, process and deliver international mail. Force Majeure is declared, with significant delays to be expected until further notice.

Brazil - 22-March

Correos Brazil has decreed an emergency 10-day holiday the city of São Paulo from 26 March to 4 April 2021 due to COVID-19. Postcode areas impacted are: 01000-000 to 05999-999 and 08000-000 to 08499-999. Delays can be expected and Correos Brazil is unable to guarantee service delivery standards on all mail types in the above mentioned postcodes.

Poland - 20-March

The Polish Government has implemented a national lockdown until April 9, 2021 due to COVID-19. The processing and delivery of all mail types will be affected, and delivery standards cannot be guaranteed.

Malta - 18-March

Due to COVID-19 emergency and new government measures there is very limited airline capacity to Malta with all letter and parcel/EMS services being severely disrupted. Malta Post cannot currently guarantee delivery standards with processing and delivery delay of mail to be expected throughout the islands of Malta under force majeure situation.

Slovakia - 18-March

The Slovakian lockdown has been extended for 40 days starting March 20, 2021 affecting processing and deliveries of all mail types.

China - 17-March

All mail delivered to China has been considerably delayed due to flight cancellations and the redirection of all incoming export items via Shanghai.

Thailand - 17-March

The Government of Thailand has declared a state of emergency for the whole country, and especially in five provinces of: Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan. Mail processing & delivery delay expected until circumstances return to normal.

Somoa - 16-March

The Government of Samoa has extended the state of emergency until April 14, 2021, all mail is limited to one inbound and one outbound flight per week with a three-day quarantine before delivery.

Restricted Service Updates

Haiti

Due to a carrier embargo, mail delivery to Haiti has been temporarily suspended. New volumes are currently buffered at Amsterdam Airport and will be shipped when a new route is found.

South Sudan

The suppliers have temporary stopped accepting mail to South Sudan. Mail will be held until this matter is resolved, hence delays are to be expected

Guatemala

25-Apr 2019: The U.S. Postal Service has restored mail service to Guatemala. This ends a temporary suspension of most mail services to the country that had been in effect.

5-Mar 2019: Guatemalan Post has advised they are resuming acceptance and processing of inbound letters and packages.

20-Feb 2018:  Correos y Telégrafos is in its final phase to hire additional staff to help clear an ongoing backlog. As a result, international letter-post, parcel-post and EMS services (inbound/outbound) will continue to be disrupted for at least another 4 months. Correos y Telégrafos has asked the designated operators of other countries to hold back any mail destined for Guatemala until further notice.

11-Apr 2017:  The USPS has temporarily suspended mail services to Guatemala until further notice. This will impact the following USPS services; PMEI, PMI, FCMI, FCPIS, IPA, and ISAL. For already deposited items, USPS will endorse them “Mail Service Suspended – Return to Sender” and then place them in the mail stream for return.

Iraq

2-Nov 2017: Due to political developments in northern Iraq, the government has issued an embargo on flights into the region. It is expected that no deliveries will be possible until the situation is resolved.

Syria

Due to the current exceptional transportation circumstances in the Syrian Arab Republic, all mail and parcel deliveries have been suspended until further notice.

Yemen

Due to current situations in the Yemen region, all mail services have been suspended until further notice.

Ukraine

The Ukrainian post office, Ukrposhta, has suspended all mail services to Crimea (postcodes 95000-98999), Sevastopol (postcodes 99000-99999), Donetsk and Luhansk Oblast regions until further notice.

Somalia

Due to the unstable general safety in Somalia, there are no mail services available.
