Parts of Ontario and Quebec are experiencing disruptions in mail services due to inclement weather and flooding. Newfoundland is also facing difficulties in mail delivery due to intermittent ferry service.
Spain - 29-Nov
Spanish Post has advised the Climate Change Summit is taking place close to Barajas Airport and Post HQ. Protests are expected close to the event, with a high security and police presence across the city. In addition, public transport workers have announced strike action during the summit. Delivery operations are likely to be disrupted as a result, in the districts affected by the protests.
Finland - 27-Nov
The Finnish Post announced that the Postal Workers’ Union strike is over, and postal operations are returning to normal. However, there will be mail backlogs in Finland due to the strike, and a significant amount of items are waiting to be dispatched from the UK. As result, delivery delays can be expected to continue into next week.
Nicaragua - 22-Nov
Due to operational difficulties, the airline has temporary suspended the uplift of mail to Nicaragua but hope to resume soon. Mail and parcels will be held until resumption of services. As result, delivery delays can be expected.
Australia - 12-Nov
New South Wales in Australia has been affected by bushfires. Severe conditions impact the deliveries in various regions.
European Services - 05-Dec
A National strike by multiple unions will take place on 5 December in protest of the Proposed Pension Reforms. Lorry Drivers have also announced that they intend to block major roads from 7 December onward.
As a result, mail to and from Europe is likely to be delayed for an extra 24 hours.
South Sudan - 18-Jul
The suppliers have temporary stopped accepting mail to South Sudan. Mail will be held until this matter is resolved, hence delays are to be expected
Haiti - 20-Aug
Due to a carrier embargo, mail delivery to Haiti has been temporarily suspended. New volumes are currently buffered at Amsterdam Airport and will be shipped when a new route is found.
25-Apr 2019: The U.S. Postal Service has restored mail service to Guatemala. This ends a temporary suspension of most mail services to the country that had been in effect.
5-Mar 2019: Guatemalan Post has advised they are resuming acceptance and processing of inbound letters and packages.
20-Feb 2018: Correos y Telégrafos is in its final phase to hire additional staff to help clear an ongoing backlog. As a result, international letter-post, parcel-post and EMS services (inbound/outbound) will continue to be disrupted for at least another 4 months. Correos y Telégrafos has asked the designated operators of other countries to hold back any mail destined for Guatemala until further notice.
11-Apr 2017: The USPS has temporarily suspended mail services to Guatemala until further notice. This will impact the following USPS services; PMEI, PMI, FCMI, FCPIS, IPA, and ISAL. For already deposited items, USPS will endorse them “Mail Service Suspended – Return to Sender” and then place them in the mail stream for return.
2-Nov 2017: Due to political developments in northern Iraq, the government has issued an embargo on flights into the region. It is expected that no deliveries will be possible until the situation is resolved.
6-Jun 2017: According to reports, in accordance with the declaration issued by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are cutting ties with Qatar, the provision of postal services with that member country has, until further notice, been suspended.

The Ukrainian post office, Ukrposhta, has suspended all mail services to Crimea (postcodes 95000-98999), Sevastopol (postcodes 99000-99999), Donetsk and Luhansk Oblast regions until further notice.
Due to the unstable general safety in Somalia, there are no mail services available.
