Due to union involvement with staff at Malpensa Office of Exchange (International Mail Hub), there could be delays in the processing of inbound and outbound mail.
European Services - 11-Apr
After a brief suspension, French Customs officials have today resumed the extended security checks and strike action at Calais Port and Euro Tunnel, resulting in extended waiting periods. Delays of 24-48 hours can be expected.
Countries affected: France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Poland, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Hong Kong - 11-Jul
Following disruption in all mail delivery services, the processing of all inbound, outbound and local mail in Hong Kong has now returned to normal.
Brunei - 21-Jun
At the moment there is no delivery of both mail and parcels to Brunei. The route to Brunei is expected to be open again by the end of June, therefore delivery of mail and parcels will face delays of up to two weeks
Bhutan - 25-Jun
The monsoon season brought in heavy rain and has resulted in flooding and landslides, which have blocked roads in most parts of the country. This means all inbound mail will face delays.
French Polynesia - 15-Jul
A strike was called by postal workers throughout French Polynesia on July 8th, and as a result, mail operations were severely delayed. Although normal operations have resumed, delays may still be experienced for a few days due to backlog from this strike action
Canada - 08-Jul
Canada Post is not accepting mail and parcels for Northern Ontario due to fires temporarily disrupting services.
Australia - 01-Jul
Mail to Sydney is facing delays due to a volcanic eruption causing a high level ash cloud en-route. As a result the cargo payload has been reduced in order to take on more fuel to divert around the affected area.
25-Apr 2019: The U.S. Postal Service has restored mail service to Guatemala. This ends a temporary suspension of most mail services to the country that had been in effect.
5-Mar 2019: Guatemalan Post has advised they are resuming acceptance and processing of inbound letters and packages.
20-Feb 2018: Correos y Telégrafos is in its final phase to hire additional staff to help clear an ongoing backlog. As a result, international letter-post, parcel-post and EMS services (inbound/outbound) will continue to be disrupted for at least another 4 months. Correos y Telégrafos has asked the designated operators of other countries to hold back any mail destined for Guatemala until further notice.
11-Apr 2017: The USPS has temporarily suspended mail services to Guatemala until further notice. This will impact the following USPS services; PMEI, PMI, FCMI, FCPIS, IPA, and ISAL. For already deposited items, USPS will endorse them “Mail Service Suspended – Return to Sender” and then place them in the mail stream for return.
2-Nov 2017: Due to political developments in northern Iraq, the government has issued an embargo on flights into the region. It is expected that no deliveries will be possible until the situation is resolved.
6-Jun 2017: According to reports, in accordance with the declaration issued by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are cutting ties with Qatar, the provision of postal services with that member country has, until further notice, been suspended.

Due to the current exceptional transportation circumstances in the Syrian Arab Republic, all mail and parcel deliveries have been suspended until further notice.
Due to current situations in the Yemen region, all mail services have been suspended until further notice.
The Ukrainian post office, Ukrposhta, has suspended all mail services to Crimea (postcodes 95000-98999), Sevastopol (postcodes 99000-99999), Donetsk and Luhansk Oblast regions until further notice.
Due to the unstable general safety in Somalia, there are no mail services available.
